So we kept waiting for Summer to be able to make our Rootbeer . . . But since it seems reluctant to show up, we will tempt it with our homemade Rootbeer. It can't resist for long!

Just wanted to declare sides
Luke has been a Kevin Garnett fan for as long as I have known him, which is 13 years! So he is pretty psyched that Kevin is most likely finally going to win a title in his carrer. I on the other hand picked the celtics early in the year for 3 reasons: Boston has amazing food, Paul Pierce is cute & I like green. So GO CELTICS!

C.B. & Carol
Sixty-eight years ago today my grandparents were married in the SLC Temple. This picture was taken two years later after their first son was born. She looks great doesn't she, and she still does at 87! I have always loved this dress, and if it weren't for my linebacker shoulders I would have worn this dress when I got married. Happy Anniversary Grandma!

Mediocrity at it's best
TBS has put out it's second season of the Sit-com My Boys. I only gave season one a chance because Gaffigan is in it and he is hilarious, and I was to say the least completely let down. Well, season two rolls around and this show is just the definition of mediocre television. It has bad writing, bad music, a bad set and bad acting . . . but I can't stop watching it. If this show is on I cannot look away, and I am sorry to say I now know the names of all the characters. Maybe TBS is on to something . . . American television doesn't need to be great, it just needs to be bearable enough that when nothing else good is on we just can't look away.

Smart & Funny
The Washington Post's Mensa Invitational once again asked readers to
take any word from the dictionary, alter it by adding, subtracting, or
changing one letter, and supply a new definition. Thanks Daryl & John!
Sarchasm: The gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the
person who doesn't get it.
Arachnoleptic fit (n.): The frantic dance performed just after
you've accidentally walked through a spider web.
Beelzebug (n.): Satan in the form of a mosquito, that gets into your
bedroom at three in the morning and cannot be cast out.
Ignoranus: A person who's both stupid and an asshole.

Notting Gate Floral
I thought I would take a post and give a little background to the phrase: "I did a wedding." Allison and I met five years ago while we were on a BYU study abroad. We were roomies or flatmates if you will, and she was my saving grace while we were there. We came home and started a little "business" and I use the word "business" with extreme looseness. But lately our little Notting Gate Floral has been quite busy. We have had a lot of fun doing all these weddings. And kudos to Allison who just completed this last wedding 8 months pregnant! Check out our work here.

Lia & Spencer's Reception
My cousin Lia's reception was beautiful! My Aunt Nani & Spencer's mother did so much work, they really made it great! We all had a great time, and I got a little carried away with the chair sashes after it was over, but you have to admit I look great in a ball gown!

Uncle John
My Uncle John and Aunt Heather came out to visit a couple of weeks ago. We always have a great time with them and we are really glad that they make a bi-annual visits since we never get out to the east coast. John also came to our wedding 3 years ago and I have never given him this picture. So here you go Uncle!

Lisa Loves Guitar Hero
Luke introduced Lisa to Guitar hero and it was love at first riff. The next day there is a knock at my door, and there is Lisa holding her very own GHIII. She is getting really good at it, and hopes to someday enter an over 50 competition!
