iphone photos
I am constantly stealing Mr. Reece's iphone to take pic's when I don't have my camera handy. But I almost always forget to download them afterward, so these are some gems from quite awhile ago.
From the top: Hudson whissing at church, that is what he calls sweeping or vacuuming, whissing. A quick trip to Idaho. Walking home from Seven Peaks. Summer lawn & Flying Pie Pizzeria (thanks Man V. Food.) Nickle City, otherwise known as hell on earth. My aunt and uncles beautiful view and their beautiful grandchildren and horses. Tasha's insanely good grilled anaheim chilies with queso. Luke, Chloe and a Sunday nap. All taken with the cross process app for iphone.

Rootbeer
My grandparents homemade root beer is the best part of summer. They used to start making it in May until September and it was involved in all my best childhood memories. It is an old pioneer recipe involving hops, yeast, sugar, root beer extract, one ancient Gott cooler, water, a little elbow grease and a bottle capper. People either love it or they hate it but we will always make you try it at least once.

Myka's Birthday
Like I said. Kids party's are the best! Hand drawn plates, best of the feline family drawn by the birthday girl. A rousing game of pin the tail on the puma a bunch of cake and candy and it was a smashing success! I can't believe this little one is seven already!

Watching
Steve Rinella-The Wild Within
Steven Rinella is a master outdoors man who believes that we have gotten to far away from our hunter/gatherer roots. We don't know where our food comes from and we don't respect the animals that we get it from. While this sounds like a PETA advertisement, it isn't. It is just one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. This guy is legit. And the show is beautiful to watch.

The Social Network
Yes I know this came out a long time ago-but it is so good. SO. GOOD. And it kind of makes me want to delete my Facebook account. But I probably won't. Damn you Zuckerburg.
Zombieland
Apparently I am on a little bit of a Jesse Eisenburg kick. This show is irreverent and fun, and Bill Murray makes a great cameo. What more could you want?
Parks and Recreation
Thank goodness this show is back on. An excellent replacement for the office, since let's face it will not be worth watching when Steve Carrel is gone. And what is up with him not winning the Golden Globe? And the SAG award? But I digress.
And the man that makes the show worth watching, Mr. Ron Swanson.
SALT
I hardly ever rent from Redbox because a one dollar rental usually turns into a $28.00 movie. I have problems returning movies on time. But after seeing SALT not only did I run back to Redbox to return it I wanted every penny of my dollar back. It is the WORST movie I have ever seen. And 90 minutes of my life I will never get back. Angelia should have her Oscar revoked for being in the movie.
Happy weekend all, and happy superbowling! I will be rooting for the Steelers for no particular reason!

4th of July
I love the 4th of July. I love it more than Christmas (oh yeah I went there.) The food and family are just as good, but there is no stress and no cold and there are fireworks. These warm sunny pics made me so happy today since as I post this is is 2 degrees outside. 2 freakin degrees. *sheesh*
