the hall and york families

This was hands down one of my favorite shoots ever. My dear friend Suzanne Hall's family has a tradition at Christmas to make peanut brittle that her great, great grandparents created. And they make a lot of it, like they transform their kitchen into a peanut brittle factory, it's awesome.

Photographing four generations doing something they love, that is a family portrait. I hope that future clients will let me talk them into doing something this meaningful for their family portraits. This is the reason I love photography. Thanks Suzanne for the incredible opportunity, I loved every minute of it.

I completely agree. I would LOVE it if more people saw the value in documentary photography - of themselves! If I lived near you, I would say - let's document this & that of each other's families! Looking for a reason to come to AZ sunshine in the winter? You could come do my family/stay with us & catch a warm break, while I could get out of the blasted AZ heat in the summer to getaway to Provo! ; )

... This is such a great scenario to photograph & they picked the right person! Nice work.
