nick knacks & keepsakes

As I may have mentioned, My mom is going through all the rooms in my Grandmothers home. This has resulted in numerous miraculous finds of items long thought lost to the world, many treasures that most had never seen and endless great storytelling by my Grandmother.

While this has been hours of entertainment for the family (and hours and hours of work by my mom) We are trying to consolidate, organize and most of all throw away. So, I have been photographing a few things that we would like to remember but not keep. These are a few of the images from today. I am in the process of photographing my Grandmothers jewelry (and a few hundred other things, however my lens cannot get close enough. Any suggestions as to which lens I might need?

Check this site out. It's the best resource I've found on the web to figure out what gear I should invest in...

Ummm...those last pair of earings are TO DIE FOR. I hope those aren't ending up in the "throw away pile." Love your photos. Hope all is well.
