I love the Smith...You have to go to the monuments. I love the Smithsonian. If it were me I would definitely go to Mount Vernon...and they have a fun little cafe there that had a good peanut soup. They have a McCormick and Schmick there which is delicious if you like fish...although it is a little more pricey. Arlington is really cool...especially because JFK is buried there. I loved touring the Capitol building. If you can find a connection a White House tour would be cool...if not at least go see it. Georgetown has a really pretty campus if you go during cherry blossom season. I could go on and on because I love it. You will have a fabulous time.
